AMEN..

and for anyone who reads this and thinks all this crap in congress is about immigration ...try thinking about his:

Today is also the anniversary of "Mission Accomplished", we have the highest gas prices we've ever had and yet the oil companies are reporting Billions in profits, our president's solution is to ravage the old growth forests of Alaska instead of holding his buddies, shell, exxon etc accountable ..uh maybe making a little less profit would be a start.. would at least lower prices at the pump.. then we have the plame game.. who said what, when was it said and who exactly told who to say it.

sooo 1000's of people marching in the streets take away from those other issues.. and gives the current administration something to beat their chest about.

in my opinion, perhaps the INS, now part of 'homeland' security.. should increase the number of worker bees in their clerical department so those visas can be processed quicker. Waiting 10, 11, 12+ years for one, as one of my kids had to do, should be criminal. The rest of them i brought, personally, illegally into this country and would do it again if i had to.

My final opinion, cuz you know i have one:

Just because the statue of liberty stands in NY harbor doesn't mean the words carved at her feet do not apply to Juarez, Victoria, Key West or Niagara Falls.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she

With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
