It's official.. i'm closing the Bear store at the end of the month. I plan to work a couple of casinos shows in April and May then go to Cali/AZ to do a few 1 day type shows.. etc etc.. then possibly i will re-open in Sept for the holiday. It's a shame that its come to this but I made 11.00 today and 30 yesterday. with rents now at 700 per month.. the only ones getting rich are those girl who work in the office that are tacking on all the fines and fees and lining their pockets with them.

today was the last straw.. i guess the "manager" thinks I have STUPID written on my forehead and he'd rather cultivate the poor chinese vendors that come in and pay him lots of finders fees to get them a 'good ' spot.

Oh well -- Onward and UP ward.

In other news:

We got our very first same gender bear order. I'm very excited. We are doing a wedding car for 2 women who are going to Vancouver to get married. This will be the topper for their cake. It comes on the heels of us doing a bear-heart couple for an interracial marriage so hopefully we've turned the corner on people thinking that we are only for traditional families, and will view us as the alternative to the archaic view that most Americans have.

Let me just say here that gay marriage, internet pornography, online gambling are NOT a threat to the "marriage and family act" in point of fact we are pro-creating in record numbers. Of course, according to Time magazine's latest issue "America by the Numbers" the babies coming today are brown and from traditional family units or single moms, which btw, I also did 2 couches for this weekend.. 1 mom with her 2 kids and 1 mom with her son. I was reminded of the Sex and the City episode-- it's just me-- where single people dining out are made to feel they are just 1/2 waiting for a whole.
