One of the reasons that Native Americans cannot seem to get their shite together as a group like AA or Hispanics.. is because we are still fighting all those old inter tribal wars. The Lakota (my group) still hate the Cree for calling them Souix etc.. etc.. (yes it is bad name.. means Snakes) etc etc.. and because of that we cannot pull together.. the treaties are still not being honored and 500billion dollars (with interest) are still not being handed over by the Government.

Well it seems the same affliction has indoctrinated the Democratic party. Instead of getting together and saying ok here is the deal we are going to throw all of our support behind Billary or Edwards or Obama.. there is so much in fighting that some Rep. conservative is going to come in at the last farking minute.. thump the bible.. point fingers at the lack of values among the demos running and Wallah we have 4 more years.. but i don't think that is going to happen because as is the pattern..

the big ass (think my size ass) mess that GWB has left us in.. do you really think that anyone REP would want to take that over..because we 'Mericans have a very short memory.. we won't remember that GWB put us in this spot.. wiped out the surplus that GWB had when he went in.. forget that he created 9-11, iraq, north Korea, Iran, Afghanistan etc, the bottom falling out of the housing market, .. and blame whoever is in office at the moment..

If i threw my backing behind either of them for their color or gender then i'd be no better than some white southern bigot in the 60's. it's all about Content of Character. I'd of been in Hillary's corner probably if she'd divorced Bill after the Lewinsky incident.. but i have to think of the Savings and Loan scandal when he was governor..and how she orchestrated that.. so probably not.

As far as Obama goes.. he stated a few months ago.. that he was only interested in being a senator.. guess that changed.. the atmosphere in our government hasn't changed.. GWB is still the same idiot he was when he was governor of Texas, when he was elected in 2000 and again in 2004. Only worse.. he's got the lame duck syndrome.. and thinks he's untouchable. So why all of a sudden does Obama think he can be a better president than a senator?? Oh yeah the DC outsider syndrome. Well, in my personal opinion, he'd of been better off letting Billary and Edwards duke it out ..then come in like the "white" knight and swooped down. oh say in late 2007 or early 2008 and swept the whole thing.. he'd of had momentum..etc.. NOT this long laborous trip..

This was an interesting post i got from TBAAB today about how deep digging and personal the coming election has really become.

I did have a second thought when watching the very glib and polished Barak Obama the other day. As much as I like him.. i hope he doesn't run in 2008. and i love how the republicans throw up (ha!) Saw pirates of the caribbean and superman yesterday. both left me hanging and superman kind of reminded me that the producers and writers (both of movie, tv and comic books) bring superman back when we have issues here in the USA..for just one brief shinning moment i acutally had a fleeting moment of hope. that truth justice and the american way would win out. unfortunatly that was shattered when I remembered we have the evil empire here to deal with.

but i've been very occupado this week trying to prepare for the onslaught of webmasters coming to Las Vegas next week. Update on my New Blog: Still in the works. I'm trying to learn how to feed all my years of blog entries from here over to it..so it at least looks like it's been in business for more than 1 day without having to load all my posts in.

I did find this kind of neat website that actually shows my block. The only 2 business that are still there from when I lived there are Shankman's Dry Cleaner on the corner of 87th and Amsterdam & the Deli at 88th street which is really a bodega. on the other side hasn't changed much (you can click on the 88th-89th street) Kim's Tailor, Amsterdog (which was originally called Groomingdales) and then we had the broasted chicken place that I had an account at for years so my kids could stop for a snack...and West Side Pharmacy that everyone knew my name.

Hopefully i'll resolve my issues with my new blog and feeding it or i'll just start fresh.

But then i'll be told I only hated GWB since the 2257 issues...and not since he was Gov. of Texas and thought that dragging a guy behind a truck with a chain around his neck until his head popped off is NOT a hate crime.

It's funny how we surf. We can be on one website looking for something and there is a line, or a phrase or a word that catches our eye and we click or we 'google' it to see what we can find.

Such happened to me today. There are very very few people who I would pay money to see in concert that I've already seen. I'd cut my right tit off to see Bob Marley again but we know that isn't happening.
