Labor Day: I labored.

Tuesday: 1st day of school. Picked up the laundry, ran by the Palms for football picks, went to Maple Tree for breakfast. Dropped the kid off at school and then met my pal Eliza for lunch. Quickie home made Vietnamese but as always I have to be careful due to shell/fin fish allergy.

Egg Rolls w/ sauce

so my lunch was vegetarian eggrolls.

She was showing me new jewelry pieces. This made for several people to stop by the table to look and a chance to pass out cards.

Better shot of new pendant

Must be seen in a larger size in order to appreciate the "druzy"

Wednesday: Payroll day but we managed to sneak away for lunch to our favorite "hole in the wall" Mexican place: La Mexicana. We actually ate in. I think it was because I wanted to look at the handsome owner, Roberto and his little soul patch. Yummy.

37/365: Burrito with Green Sauce

an opened burrito to add in the green sauce. Carne Asada! almost as yummy as Roberto.

Thursday: I got a phone call at 4am to let me know that the Maestro Pavarotti had died. I spent literally the entire day working, crying and listening on loop to the 3 tenors, Youtube and Napster. I did have to go to the Palms for some "orientation" work on the On an up note that day we did get our first order from the new client in VA. PLUS our press release from Tuesday was picked up by all the news wire services. Here is the copy.

Friday: I spent the Morning working on setting up the account for my new client and doing some pre-work before the project kicks off next Monday. Again I had the Maestro on my music. I had to work from 11-4pm at the V M A thing. and by the time I got home, my fed-ex confirm was waiting for me. This was the 1st friday in months that I could actually 'relax'. until i opened my 'private' email and saw one from "him" that sent my heart as always to racing. I keep hoping as time passes that feeling will go away. It doesn't. It was Domino's for dinner. I hate giving money to Domino's due to the CEO's 'city' in Florida that dictates how people can live--no porn, no 'living' together, must live a 'christian' life. If a pagan decided to do that we'd be labeled a "cult" but let a pseudo-Christian do it and well it's 'family values'. But Papa John's internet ordering doesn't work from my address. (they still list this address connected to a closed PJ's from like 6 years ago) and let's face it, Pizza Hut can't get an order right. Not that Domino's is much better but they do try to rectify it, not 'blame' the customer.

38/365: Cheesy Bread

big saturday recap )
After we got home (with leftovers) O came over to use our computer. I don't get "it". Apparently if your T-Mobile blackberry fucks up, you have to use a computer and disc to reboot. After 1.3 hours on the phone with T-mobile (35 of it on hold) we got some chick in W. Alabama that told us the store (T-Mobile not a reseller) had given her the wrong CD. What if she didn't have computer access? What if she had no way to get it rebooted? What if she didn't have the 14/15 dollars at kinkos to use their system which really limits downloading and that's what you have to do? Plus she brought her nieces who ran wild all over while we tried to deal with T-mobile. needless to say I was exhausted.

Sunday: After cruising all the logical PC websites, and being unable to find any one that I really could comprehend, we decided we'd go to CompUSA, circuit City and Frys to look for a new computer. Spud of course wanted a lap top. I still had a 5 hour shift at the Palms to work but it started at 9am. I worked 9-2 then went to CompUSA. never go shopping when you are tired, aggravated or stressed. Our favorite salesman was there and I dragged him to the PC aisle. My intent was to look but they had a 1 day special on. By the time we'd left 1027.00 dollars lighter and with This in tow along with a 19" flat screen monitor (and a bottle of Bawls).

My good pal and super dooper cleaning company Vegas Sparkles is coming on Friday to clean, reorganize and set up my new system. I'm going to pick up the new desk today. And we'll be networked.

Spending money is exhausting. I was sleeping by 7pm last night.

And as kindly old Walter Cronkite said--That's the way it is.
